In 1975, my partner, Drew, and I had been together for five 1/2 years. I came to visit my mom who lived in Oxford at the time. While I was here, I auditioned and wound up being cast in the local production of "JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR" at the Colonia Theater in Norwich, NY.

Doug Carkuff, who was cast in the role of Jesus, and I were called back the following year to take the leads in GODSPELL, he playing the Judus/Peter role and I playing the Jesus role.

My mom, Lillian Chiusano, was cast in the chorus and my cousin, Vincent Granata, (Yeah, I have a cousin Vinnie!), also living in Oxford, played Simon Zealot.
